The Clifton Hotel a little gem

I stayed at the Clifton for 2 nights after having to extend my holiday due to a rail strike. I was met at the door by Steve who along with his wife Claire run the hotel and he immediately put me at ease with his friendly manner.

My room was a single en-suite and was spotlessly clean with little extras included in the price, along with tea coffee sugar etc there was also a little basket with washing up liquid, dishcloth and sponge. Toiletries were also included in the bathroom. I met Claire the following day and she is also a lovely warm person. I would definitely recommend the Clifton and hope to visit again.

Homely & Friendly

Greeted on arrival by Steve & Claire (very lovely) introduced themselves and showed us to our room, offered to carry our luggage up 3 sets of stairs for us, went into room double bed with en suite, bed soooo comfortable, decor is very dated but that adds to the homely feel, everyday room is cleaned with teas coffees & biscuits topped up if needed, towels provided with washing up liquid and cloths. Could come and go when we wished, couldn’t ask for anything better, sadly didn’t get chance to try out the breakfast we could smell every morning this will be a must for when I’m back. I would recommend this b&b in a heartbeat!!

Perfect!!

Just recently returned from our wonderful stay at the Clifton in Paignton, absolutely fabulous hosts from the initial booking up until leaving after our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them they really went out of their way to help in every way. Our room was lovely, fresh & clean, a big comfy bed with everything needed for a comfortable stay, on site parking a big plus too. Location was spot on, literally on the doorstep of all that beautiful Paignton has to offer. We will definitely be returning, thank you so much for everything Claire & Steve we will see you soon!!
